Aaron Taft, softseeds trade manager, Archer Daniels Midland Company
Aaron Taft, softseeds trade manager, Archer Daniels Midland Company, lives his passion for agriculture through a budding career that has already seen him gain tremendous insight into domestic and international agricultural markets. In his current role, he works to optimize the supply chain of canola from grower to terminal to ADM’s manufacturing plants in a way that adds optimal value to all parties. He has developed key networks both internally within ADM and across industries that have aided him in strategically aligning ADM’s assets to reach markets more effectively.

Since joining ADM in 2009, Taft has held various roles in the company’s corn and oilseeds divisions. From 2009 to 2012, he served as a canola seed and meal merchandiser in Velva, North Dakota, where he originated canola for the local crush plant and biodiesel facility. He continued to gain experience as a domestic corn trader and an export container trader for feed products before stepping into his current role in May 2014. He has also served on the NGFA Trade Rules committee and the NGFA Truck Trade Rules Taskforce.

Greg Gingera, Dow AgroSciences
Greg leads a team of researchers responsible for Roundup Ready Nexera hybrid development in Saskatoon. He joined Dow AgroSciences in June 2008 to lead the Roundup Ready Omega-9 canola breeding program.

Greg was born in Dauphin, Manitoba. He received a B.Sc. in Plant Science and Entomology at the University of Manitoba in 1988. In 1991, he completed his M.Sc. in canola breeding at the University of Manitoba evaluating several potential systems for producing hybrid canola. Greg completed his Ph.D. program at the University of Minnesota in 1995. His key project was studying single and multiple disease resistance genes for common rust in sweet corn.

After completing his Ph.D. in 1995, Greg joined Pioneer Hi-Bred in Des Moines, IA working in the Information Management group where he provided statistical support to the corn breeding group. In 1996, Greg moved to Saskatoon to lead a canola breeding project for Pioneer Hi-Bred. He developed canola quality Brassica juncea inbred lines and hybrids as Brassica napus Clearfield hybrids.

Kelly Fitzpatrick, president, NutriScience Solutions
Kelley Fitzpatrick is the president of NutriScience Solutions, a firm that provides services in the areas of food and health, natural health products and functional foods. She currently serves as a project manager for the Alberta Barley Commission and was previously a project manager and the director of health and nutrition for the Flax Council of Canada.

Fitzpatrick is also a contributing editor for Prepared Foods and a member of the Scientific Advisory Panel for the Guiding Stars nutrition labeling program used by Canadian and U.S. retailers. She and has given over 400 invited presentations around the world and authored successful funding applications -- totaling more than $40 million -- for numerous trade association and scientist clients. She holds a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Winnipeg.

Kelly Taylor, Comedian
It was only nine short months after Kelly Taylor first stepped on the stage that he was headlining. And in just his second year of comedy, Taylor shocked the comedy industry by placing second in the prestigious Just for Laughs Homegrown competition. Aside from Just for Laughs, he has appeared at the Winnipeg, Vancouver and Halifax Comedy Festivals and at some of the most respected clubs in Los Angeles and New York City. He has also performed overseas for the troops.
